Deputy Finance Minister Presides over Meeting to Promote “SMEs and OTOP Go Global” Project
Mr. Tanusak Lek-uthai (seventh right), Deputy Minister of Finance, Mr. Areepong Bhoocha-Oom (seventh left), Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Finance (MOF), Mr. Prasong Poontaneat (third right), Director-General, State Enterprise Policy Office, MOF, and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), and Mr. Kanit Sukonthaman (far right), EXIM Thailand President, together with executives of other state-owned specialized financial institutions (SFIs) and government agencies join a group photo at a meeting to discuss the “SMEs and OTOP Go Global” Project at Miracle Grand Convention Hotel on February 28, 2013. The Project aims to promote SMEs and OTOP entrepreneurs’ better access to funding for their international business expansion. This Project is a collaborative effort between Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Interior and Ministry for Agricultural and Cooperatives, together with 6 SFIs, comprising of EXIM Thailand, Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Co-operatives, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Bank of Thailand, Thai Credit Guarantee Corporation, Government Savings Bank and Islamic Bank of Thailand to draw up a roadmap to integrate the strength of each organization in enabling SMEs and OTOP entrepreneurs to gain better access to funding. The Project will be launched officially on March 18, 2013 at Four Seasons Hotel, Bangkok.
