EXIM Thailand Joins Force with Five SFIs To Create Business Opportunities for Thai SMEs
Mr. Kanit Sukonthaman (center), President of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), took a group photo with Mr. Somporn Chitphentom (third left), Senior Executive Vice President of EXIM Thailand, along with five executives of state-owned specialized financial institutions (SFIs), comprising Small and Medium Enterprise Development Bank of Thailand, Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Co-operatives, Thai Credit Guarantee Corporation, Islamic Bank of Thailand and Government Savings Bank. Serving as speakers at a seminar titled “SFIs Create Business Opportunities for Thai SMEs,” the six SFI executives introduced their financial facilities to support SME and OTOP entrepreneurs. Held at Four Seasons Hotel, Bangkok on March 19, 2013, the seminar was part of the “SMEs and OTOP Go Global” Project, which represents a collaborative effort between five ministries and six SFIs to promote SME and OTOP entrepreneurs’ access to funding in support of their business expansion in the world market.
