EXIM Thailand and SEPO Participate in Lolae Canal Preservation Campaign
Mr. Prasong Poontaneat (center), Chairman of the Board of Directors, Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), and Director General of the State Enterprise Policy Office (SEPO), Ministry of Finance (MOF), and Mr. Kanit Sukonthaman (far right), EXIM Thailand’s President, led executives and staff of EXIM Thailand and SEPO, to participate in the MOF’s Joining Forces to Preserve Thailand’s Canals Campaign, which aims to raise the awareness of local communities on canal preservation. The campaign was organized in support of the government’s water management scheme to increase canal drainage capability and prevent the recurrence of great floods in Bangkok and the vicinity areas. EXIM Thailand and SEPO handed over a boat, vegetable seeds and molasses for biological water production to the Lolae canal community. Both agencies also granted scholarships to students winning canal preservation slogan and drawing contests and students with excellent academic performance and behavior at Sam Yaek Khlong Lolae School, Saphan Sung District, Bangkok on September 26, 2012.
