EXIM Thailand Partners with Export Finance Australia to Strengthen Thailand-Australia Competitiveness and Promote Sustainable Development

Dr. Paopoom Rojanasakul, Deputy Minister of Finance, served as honorary witness at the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Dr. Rak Vorrakitpokatorn, President of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), and Mr. John Hopkins, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Export Finance Australia (EFA). The ceremony took place at EFA Headquarters in Sydney on December 19, 2024, in the presence of EXIM Thailand’s Board members.
The MOU aims to deepen cooperation between EXIM Thailand and EFA to enhance the competitiveness of Thai and Australian businesses in global trade and investment. The partnership covers both financial and non-financial collaboration, including joint business support, co-project exploration, particularly in energy-related ventures across Southeast Asia, and knowledge exchange on ESG practices. This milestone reflects a shared commitment to promoting sustainable development and strengthening long-term economic resilience between the two countries.
