Dr. Nattapol Rangsitpol, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry; Mr. Pongpol Yodmuangcharoen, Secretary to the Minister of Industry and Ministry Spokesperson; and Ms. Natthiya Netayasubha, Director-General of the Department of Industrial Promotion (DIP), joined Ms. Draswan Shoowong, Executive Vice President, Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), along with public- and private-sector partners, at a press conference announcing financial support programs to advance Thailand’s halal industry under the theme “Learn, Get Certified, Invest Easily, Export Successfully” at DIP on December 25, 2024.
EXIM Thailand hosted a financial advisory booth providing knowledge, opportunities, and funding solutions for halal business operators, along with special New Year 2025 promotional programs aimed at enhancing their competitiveness and readiness for global trade while mitigating international risks. Key promotions included:
- “Halal Unjai” Loan Program : Credit lines of up to 200 million baht at a special interest rate starting at 3.25%, with repayment terms of up to 10 years. Halal-certified entrepreneurs or exporters to OIC member countries are eligible for an even lower introductory rate of 2.99% for the first six months.
“Halal Sabaijai” Export Credit Insurance Program provides coverage against non-payment risks by foreign buyers, up to 2 million baht per policy, with compensation of up to 70% of the loss. Participants also receive free coverage for one foreign buyer, with an insured amount of 300,000 baht.
