Ms. Draswan Shoowong, Executive Vice President of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), along with Dr. Phaichit Viboontanasarn, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Thai-Chinese Promotion of Investment and Trade Association and Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Thai Chamber of Commerce in China, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arm Tungnirun, Director of the Chinese Studies Center, Institute of Asian Studies, Chulalongkorn University, jointly presided over the opening ceremony of the “China Connext” Seminar and the signing ceremony of the Academic Cooperation Framework on “Enhancing Thai Entrepreneurs’ Capabilities in Chinese Market.” The cooperation agreement was signed between EXIM Thailand, the Thai-Chinese Promotion of Investment and Trade Association, the Thai Chamber of Commerce in China, and the Center for Chinese Studies, Chulalongkorn University, at EXIM Thailand’s Head Office on May 15, 2025. Under this collaboration, they jointly organize the China Wealth Executive Program (Batch 2) to develop Thai entrepreneurs and executives with the skills and readiness to expand trade and investment into China. The program focuses on strengthening the participants’ strategic thinking, liquidity management, and business negotiation capabilities in alignment with local cultural and business contexts.
On this occasion, Dr. Benjarong Suwankiri, Senior Executive Vice President of EXIM Thailand, participated in a panel discussion on “China’s Dynamic Landscape: Adapting to Change in Export and Investment,” sharing insights on trade and investment trends and strategies for Thai businesses to stay competitive and achieve sustainable growth. EXIM Thailand reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Thai entrepreneurs of all sizes through financial advisory services, funding solutions, and international trade risk management tools.
