Mrs. Warangkana Wongkhaluang, Mr. Ittipol Lertsakthanakul, Senior Executive Vice Presidents of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), recently led a delegation of EXIM Thailand’s executives to Vientiane, Lao PDR, for discussions with executives from various Lao PDR government agencies. Participants included Mr. Kawin Viriyapanich, Minister Counsellor (Commercial) in Vientiane; Mr. Soulivath Souvannachoumkham, Head of the Public Debt Management Department, Ministry of Finance of Lao PDR; Ms. Fongchinda SengSourivong, Secretary-General of the Lao Securities Commission Office; Mr. Souphak Thinxayphone, Chief Executive Officer of the Lao Securities Exchange; and Mr. Vongsakoun Yingyong, Managing Director of Electricite du Laos (EDL).
The discussions focused on exchanging information and exploring collaboration opportunities to foster sustainable trade and investment between the two countries. This aligns with EXIM Thailand's goal of becoming a Green Development Bank, emphasizing sustainable development, social and environmental responsibility, and good corporate governance with an aim to contribute to the sustainable development of the economy, society, and environment globally.
