Dr. Paopoom Rojanasakul, Deputy Minister of Finance, presided over the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech at the “SFIs to Support the People” event in Ubon Ratchathani Province, jointly organized by Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), Small and Medium Enterprise Development Bank of Thailand (SME D Bank), and Thai Credit Guarantee Corporation (TCG) at Sunee Grand Hotel & Convention Center in Ubon Ratchathani on June 14, 2025.
The event was attended by Ms. Draswan Shoowong and Mr. Charat Rattanaboonniti, Executive Vice Presidents of EXIM Thailand, along with executives from government agencies and state-owned financial institutions. The initiative aimed to enhance financial literacy, improve access to funding, and introduce financial products and services from government financial institutions to local entrepreneurs. EXIM Thailand also launched an EXIM Export Clinic, offering financial health check-ups and export advisory services, particularly for importers and exporters affected by the U.S. Reciprocal Tariffs Policy. Special relief measures were highlighted, including extended repayment periods of up to 365 days and interest rate reductions of up to 20%. The event welcomed approximately 250 participants.
