Development Committee, Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), along with the CG & SD Committee members, and Dr. Rak Vorrakitpokatorn, President of EXIM Thailand, led EXIM Thailand’s executives and staff to visit the Huai Nam Phia Model Area in San Tha Subdistrict, Na Noi District, Nan Province. In collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, EXIM Thailand participated in reforestation activities and observed the development of the Huai Nam Phia Model, including water retention weirs, the Earthen House Learning Center, and solar panel installations donated by Green Yellow (Thailand) Co., Ltd., an EXIM Thailand client. The solar-powered system supports year-round agriculture by pumping water to higher elevations, expanding cultivation areas, and supporting reforestation efforts. Solar panels were also installed at Chatawan School under the “EXIM for the Environment” project. These initiatives extend EXIM Thailand’s Green Development Bank approach by providing reliable electricity and water for consumption and agriculture, helping to mitigate drought, prevent deforestation, reduce soil degradation and pollution, and create sustainable income opportunities. The project serves as an integrated solution to economic, social, and environmental challenges within the community.
Additionally, EXIM Thailand, in collaboration with the Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR), organized training on financial management, savings practices, and commercial honey quality development for the San Tha Rak Phueng Community Enterprise, local farmers, and interested residents under the “EXIM for Community Finance” project. The activity was attended and welcomed by Mrs. Vajiraporn Amatyakul, Deputy Governor of Nan Province, at Wang Nam Long Farmstay, San Tha Subdistrict, Na Noi District, Nan Province, on December 4, 2024.
