EXIM Thailand Joins Forces with NIA to Support Thai SMEs in Innovation and Technology for Global Competitiveness
Mr. Charat Rattanaboonniti, Executive Vice President of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), together with Dr.Krithpaka Boonfueng , Executive Director of the National Innovation Agency (NIA), and executives from Kasikornbank, Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC), Small and Medium Enterprise Development Bank of Thailand (SME D Bank), Krungthai Bank, and Bangkok Bank, signed a memorandum of understanding for the project “Innovative SMEs with Zero Interest” at the Startup x Innovation Thailand Expo 2025 (SITE 2025) held at Siam Paragon on July 4, 2025. The project aims to support innovative SMEs by providing access to financing, with interest paid by NIA for the first three years, with a total fund of 5 million baht allocated for this initiative. The goal is to help Thai entrepreneurs develop distinctive and competitive products and services through innovation and technology, while facilitating access to funding for expansion, investment, technological upgrades, and machinery improvements, enabling them to reach their full growth potential.
