Mr. Bundit Sapianchai, Director and Acting President of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), delivered a special lecture to participants of the National Defence Course (NDC), Class 67, on the topic “The Climate Challenges: The Rise of Climate Tech” at the National Defence College on May 8, 2025. The lecture highlighted the critical role of climate finance in supporting and accelerating the development of technologies and innovations to address climate change, including clean energy power plants, reforestation initiatives, and new models of sustainable agriculture and food production.
As a state-owned specialized financial institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Finance, EXIM Thailand reaffirms its readiness to fulfill its role as a development bank by providing financial support and fostering a business ecosystem that drives progress toward achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions. The Bank also emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration to reduce emissions across Scope 1, 2, and 3, encompassing direct emissions, indirect emissions from energy consumption, and other indirect emissions throughout organizational operations, to advance a low-carbon society and promote sustainable development.
