EXIM Thailand Attends the 10th Annual Meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank
Dr. Benjarong Suwankiri, Senior Executive Vice President of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), joined government representatives from 96 member countries at the 10th Annual Meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Beijing, People’s Republic of China, from June 25-26, 2025. The meeting served as a platform for strategic discussions on infrastructure development, development finance, and strengthening cooperation among member countries, reflecting EXIM Thailand’s commitment to advancing infrastructure projects and fostering financial collaboration at both regional and global levels.
During the event, Dr. Benjarong participated in the signing of a financial cooperation agreement between the Public Debt Management Office (PDMO), Ministry of Finance, and AIIB to support the U-Tapao International Airport and Eastern Aviation City Development Project under the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) initiative. Additionally, Dr. Benjarong attended high-level discussions on clean energy transition, sustainable development finance, and the role of multilateral development banks in the evolving global landscape, providing valuable insights for shaping EXIM Thailand’s future strategic direction.
