Mrs. Warangkana Wongkhaluang, Senior Executive Vice President of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), led a delegation of EXIM Thailand executives to attend the Berne Union Spring Meeting 2025 held in Dubrovnik, Croatia, from May 12-15, 2025. The meeting brought together 270 representatives from 91 public and private export credit and investment insurance organizations worldwide to exchange insights, strengthen information networks, share operational experiences, and explore emerging business trends amid the evolving global trade landscape. Discussion emphasized the importance of accelerating innovation and digital transformation in export and investment insurance services to enhance operational efficiency and better respond to clients’ needs in the face of rising global trade risks. These challenges have contributed to a significant increase in total insured trade value. In 2024, Berne Union members recorded an all-time high insured trade value of 3.3 trillion US dollars. Meanwhile, international trade in the Asia-Pacific region, one of the world’s most dynamic and strategically important markets, is projected to grow by 5.1% year-on-year to 18.5 trillion US dollars in 2024, presenting both challenges and substantial opportunities for future expansion.
