EXIM Thailand Launches EXIM Personal Biz Credit Scheme Reaffirming to Take One Step Ahead by Unlocking Small Business People to Start Export-related Businesses
Mr. Arkhom Termpittayapaisith, Minister of Finance, who presided over the opening ceremony of the 17th Money Expo Chiangmai 2022, Mr. Sakchai Kunanuwatchaidech, Deputy Governor of Chiangmai, and Ms. Pakanee Viriyarungsarit, Co-chairman of the Money Expo, visited the booth of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), welcomed by Dr. Rak Vorrakitpokatorn, EXIM Thailand President, and congratulated individuals receiving preliminary approval for the Bank’s “EXIM Personal Biz” credit scheme at Central Chiangmai Airport Shopping Complex on November 11, 2022. The Bank has unveiled its new “EXIM Personal Biz” credit scheme at the Event, offering a maximum credit line of 500,000 baht per entrepreneur in the first step for export-related business start-up, a 3-year repayment tenor, a special interest rate only at the event of 9.99% per annum in the first year and eligibility for an add-up financing upon recording sales and having good repayment record, thus making up a total maximum credit line of 2 million baht with an initial interest rate of 7.75% per annum. Plus! Entrepreneur who has registered at the event and is granted the credit facility by December 31, 2022 will be eligible for a special interest rate of 5.75% per annum in the first 6 months.
The newly launched “EXIM Personal Biz” aims to build identity for individuals as Thai SMEs on the global front, funded initially for their business start-up and no collateral security required, using only a letter of guarantee from Thai Credit Guarantee Corporation (TCG). The scheme helps fill up retail entrepreneurs’ financial gaps, enabling individuals to access financial sources and paving way for them to grasp fresh opportunities in the global markets.
