EXIM Thailand Joins Forces with Ministry of Commerce to Boost Export of SMEs in the Northeast Under SMEs-Financial Institutions Loan Matching Project
     Mr. Jurin Laksanawisit (fourth left), Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, together with Dr. Keerati Rushchano (third left), Director-General, Department of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce, and Director of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), and Mrs. Warangkana Wongkhaluang (third right), EXIM Thailand’s Senior Executive Vice President, met with SME entrepreneurs in the follow-up activity for the SMEs-Financial Institutions Loan Matching project, at Sunee Grand Hotel and Convention Center, Ubon Ratchathani on July 9, 2021. Under the project, EXIM Thailand, in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce, provides advisory services and credit facility with a special interest rate of 3.99% per annum throughout the project term, requiring no asset-based collateral. The credit lines will be approved within 7 business days in conjunction with export credit insurance policy to safeguard SMEs against non-payment by overseas buyers and entitlement to participating in international trade training courses to promote the Northeastern SMEs’ export startup and expansion.
     Under the project, a total credit support of more than 138.2 million baht has been approved to 43 clients while 212 other clients with a total credit approval amount of 1,208.1 million baht are in the pipeline. The project’s total credit support is 2,500 million baht and the availability period is from today until September 7, 2021.
