EXIM Thailand Celebrates Successful Green Bond Issue  to Support Clean Energy Projects Underlining Its Commitment  toward Development Bank and United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals

Mr. Thongchai Chawalitpichaet (center), Chairman of the Corporate Governance and Social Responsibility Committee of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand) congratulated and joined a press conference with Dr. Rak Vorrakitpokatorn (second left), President of EXIM Thailand; Mr. Kosintr Puongsophol (second right), Financial Sector Specialist, Economic Research and Regional Cooperation Department of Asian Development Bank (ADB); Mr. Prakob Phiencharoen (right), Head of Corporate and Investment Banking Group, Bank of Ayudhya Public Company Limited (BAY); Ms. Paphakorn Ratanasate (left), Senior Executive Vice President, Investment and Financial Management Group, Government Savings Bank (GSB), at EXIM Thailand’s Head Office on September 21, 2022. The press conference was held to announce the notable success of EXIM Thailand’s issue and offering of two tranches of Green Bond worth 5,000 million baht in total on September 9, 2022. The Green Bond issue is aimed to raise funds for lending to clean energy projects with ADB as the Bond Advisor working out the sustainable finance framework, GSB as the Lead Underwriter, and BAY as the Underwriter and Registrar. Both tranches of the Bond had been well responded by leading investors and offered attractive coupon rates amid the volatile money market conditions with the upward trend of interest rates.
