Dr. Warotai Kosolpisitkul, Advisor on International Economics, Ministry of Finance, and Director of the Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), presided over the certificate presentation ceremony for participants of the “EXIM 2X” Program Class 1, 2025 at Pullman Bangkok King Power Hotel on November 28, 2025. The program was organized by EXIM Thailand in collaboration with partner agencies from both the public and private sectors, with the objective of empowering SMEs, particularly Gen Y entrepreneurs interested in or newly entering the export business, to become strong exporters and key drivers of the Thai economy.
The EXIM 2X Program has been designed to cover all dimensions of export business development. Its curriculum spans knowledge incubation, access to financial sources, risk management tools for international trade, offshore marketing strategies, logistics, sustainable business management under ESG frameworks, product standards, and intellectual property. Participants also benefit from business matching activities, international partner engagement, study tours, and experience sharing from successful entrepreneurs.
Dr. Warotai stated that EXIM 2X Program Class 1 aims to strengthen entrepreneurs across the entire supply chain through practical support in capital, knowledge, and management tools. The program helps new-generation entrepreneurs navigate global trade and economic volatility while pursuing robust growth. It also encourages Thailand’s 3.2 million entrepreneurs, of whom only 1% are currently exporters, to step up as contributors to the country’s global competitiveness and become a new engine for sustainable economic development.
EXIM Thailand congratulates all entrepreneurs who completed the program and is preparing to launch EXIM 2X Program Class 2 to expand the pool of Thai exporters and build a solid and sustainable foundation for Thailand’s international trade and investment.
Ms. Draswan Shoowong, Senior Executive Vice President of EXIM Thailand, noted that the program’s success is the result of strong cooperation from public and private sector partners supporting the export ecosystem end-to-end. The 43 participants gained in-depth knowledge and fresh business perspectives from leading experts and business leaders, developed export strategies, learned trade rules and regulations, received international marketing guidance, joined study tours, and engaged in business networking and both online and offline matching sessions with buyers in key markets such as China, India, the Middle East, and ASEAN.
Business matching activities are expected to generate international trade value exceeding 65 million baht from 77 business pairs. In addition, credit and insurance facilities totaling more than 440 million baht have been provided to entrepreneurs under the program, contributing to a strong business ecosystem that supports sustainable growth of Thai exports and the economy in alignment with domestic, regional, and global social and environmental development.
