EXIM Thailand organized a seminar entitled “Thai Economy and Exports in the Second Half of 2006” on July 19, 2006 at Central Plaza Ladprao. The forum provided Thai export entrepreneurs with insights into Thai exports and economic trends in the latter half of this year to facilitate their business strategy formulation and enhance their confidence to trade or invest overseas. At the opening of this seminar, Dr. Virabongsa Ramangkura (top right picture), Chairman of EXIM Thailand’s Board of Directors, delivered the keynote address on “EXIM Thailand’s Roles in Export and Overseas Investment Promotion.” Other honored guest speakers from both public and private sectors (bottom picture) include Dr. Narongchai Akrasanee (fourth right), Chairman of EXIM Thailand’s Board of Executive Directors; Dr. Apichai Boontherawara (second left), EXIM Thailand President; Dr. Bandid Nijathaworn (fourth left), Deputy Governor for Monetary Stability, the Bank of Thailand; Mrs. Benjawan Ratanaprayul (third right), Deputy Director-General, the Ministry of Commerce’s Department of Export Promotion, Dr. Supavud Saicheua (second right), Managing Director of Research Group, Phatra Securities Public Company Limited.
