EXIM Thailand Welcomes Pakistan’s Water and Power Development Authority
Mr. Pisit Serewiwattana (fourth left, sitting), President of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), recently welcomed a delegation from Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, comprising WAPDA executives and engineering personnel at EXIM Thailand’s Head Office. The delegation attended a professional development program on financial facilities for hydropower plants organized by EXIM Thailand in cooperation with Asian Institute of Technology, aiming to exchange knowledge and experience on hydropower plant investment, management and financing.
EXIM Thailand adopts a policy to promote infrastructural, public utility and energy stability development. The Bank provided financial support to numerous domestic and overseas power plant projects with an aggregate capacity of 7,490 MW, representing EXIM Thailand’s total exposure of 1,138 million US dollars, 59% of which goes to hydropower projects.
