EXIM Thailand Joins Hands with Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives and Alliance Organizations in Development of Agriculture Sector and Support for Thai Farmers to Compete in Global Market
Mr. Chantanon Wannakejohn, Secretary-General, Office of Agricultural Economics, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives and Director of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), together with Dr. Rak Vorrakitpokatorn, President of EXIM Thailand, and executives of six alliance organizations, comprising Department of Livestock Development, Cooperative Promotion Department, Dairy Farming Promotion Organization of Thailand, National Farmers Council, Board of Trade of Thailand and the Federation of Thai Industries, jointly signed Memoranda of Understanding to cooperate in solving problems and enhancing the competitiveness of farmers affected by trade liberalization under Free Trade Agreements (FTAs). The signing ceremony was held online on September 29, 2021 and presided over by Dr. Chalermchai Sri-on, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives. EXIM Thailand is fully equipped to support exchange of knowledge and provision of training courses as well as financial facilities and instruments for development of agricultural production structure and expansion of business networks that would pave the way for Thai farmers toward international trade and investment fronts in a concrete and sustainable manner.
