EXIM Thailand Inks MOU with the Revenue Department  and 19 Financial Institutions to Support Single-account SMEs
Mr. Sittikorn Direksoonthorn (right), Senior Executive Vice President of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), and Dr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas (left), Director-General of the Revenue Department, Ministry of Finance, together with executives of 20 state-owned specialized financial institutions and commercial banks jointly signed Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) at the Revenue Department on January 21, 2020. Under the MOU, the parties agree to support SME entrepreneurs’ adoption of single accounts and financial statements for accounting correctness and to reflect the actual status of their businesses. As an exclusive offer to single-account SME exporters, EXIM Thailand will make available a financial facility with a special interest rate at 5.25% per annum and additional 0.5% reduction for SMEs joining EXIM Excellence Academy (EXAC)’s training programs to give single financial account SME exporters more choices in accessing financial sources and increasing their competitiveness.
